A la Fleisch ist mein Gemüse gibt es heute eine Extra-Portion Hack. Fleisch, so schön roh und zart rosa bis ins rot rein, lässt mein Ästheten-Herz um zehn Takte höher schlagen. Heute gibt es das ABC einmal aus Hack. Schön portioniert, handgeformt, aber ohne Ei und Zwiebeln. Die müssen wir noch in die Masse mengen damit das Bild komplett ist.

Und wo wir gerade bei Fleisch sind, bleiben wir auch gleich noch ein bisschen dabei. “Meat After Meat Joy” ist eine Ausstellung, die gerade in New York läuft. Da werden Köpfe aus Hack moduliert, Hoden an Haken gehangen, Kleider aus Fleischlappen gezaubert, Schuhe aus Schnitzeln und Schinken nachgebildet. Eine gewöhnungsbedürftige Zurschaustellung von Fleisch, die Ekel wie Interesse hervorruft.

Meat combines flesh, skin, muscle, organs, blood – each with its own relationship to the body, yet meat’s only reference to the body is as a once-upon-a-time living biological thing. By putting these artists together, the exhibition seeks to investigate the uncanny effect meat as a medium is for artist and viewer.
